Operative experience Operative Experience of Previous Fellows: Post CCT from UK (independent in General Surgery, with declared Oesophago-gastric Surgery with minimum 1-2 year experience at Senior Reg level).

Oesophageal resection Yes (the unit performs 65-90 procedures per year)
Gastric resection Yes (the unit performs 20-30 procedures per year)
Liver resection No
Liver transplant No
Pancreas resection No
Bariatric surgery No (although the unit performs 50-60 procedures per year)
Research opportunities Yes (clinical)

 

Additional information

The unit currently participate in the international/national studies such a ROMIO, OCCAMS and BEST3. There is a full time MD research registrar on the unit, but in addition the fellow gets opportunities to participate in Clinical research.
