Below are a series of key transplant organisations providing educational resources surrounding transplantation, including liver transplantation, most relevant for our members. These cover UK, European and International communities.
British Transplant Society (BTS)

BTS is the voice of transplantation in the UK, intermittently offering webinars and courses, whilst hosting an annual congress as its main educational opportunities.
BTS provides a link to the Transplant library: https://bts.org.uk/education-training/transplant-library/. This is a database providing access to all evidence-based publications on all aspects of transplantation, together with “Expert Reviews” from subject matter specialists discussing its potential impact on current clinical practice.
European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT)

ESOT has a rich educational platform covering all aspects of organ transplantation, including immunology, donor selection, peri-operative care, and technical aspects of transplantation. There are specific liver related resources, including several webinars on machine perfusion.

Evidence-based Transplantation
Herrick Society

The Herrick Society, formerly the Carrell club, is for trainees interested in transplant surgery in the United Kingdom, and is affiliated with the British Transplantation Society and the Association of Surgeons in Training . Their aim is to bring together surgical trainees with an interest in transplantation surgery, and to represent and support such trainees.
Membership of the Herrick Society is open to all medical students/ trainees/ fellows with an interest in abdominal or cardiothoracic transplant surgery in the United Kingdom, and is free. Membership is obtained by signing up to the ‘discussion list’, which can be done through the homepage, and thereafter you will have access to the newsletter and numerous opportunities available to trainees.
