Additional information

The job involves leading the multi-organ retrieval team, operating on HPB cases, covering out of hours liver transplantation, attending HPB MDTs, benign and cancer outpatient clinics, transplant assessment clinics, transplant listing meetings and supervising the audit/ research group meetings. It is an extremely busy unit performing advanced HPB surgeries including resections for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, ALPPS procedure, ex-situ liver resections, pancreatic resections with concurrent vein resections and advanced laparoscopic HPB surgeries. The transplant programme gives a wide exposure to transplantations from DCD and DBD donors, living related donors, auxiliary transplants and transplantation following machine perfusion.
