Operative experience | Fellow has alternate week full day operating lists with consultant top cover available. In addition the fellow back-fills any UGI operating lists made available due to consultant annual leave or on-calls. Fellow was performing independent Hybrid (laparoscopic abdomen) and open Ivor-Lewis oesophagectomy and open gastrectomy. They performed approximately 30 OG resections in the 10 months (left early as obtained a locum consultant post) including both independent and supervised cases. |

Additional information
Treated very much as an integral part of the team with lots of independent oesophagogastric experience with consultant cover if needed. Regular independent endoscopy – both diagnostics and therapeutic. Regular independent OP clinics. Specialist Oesophagogastric experience with no Emergency General Surgery during the fellowship.
